Chief aquaculture officer
Gary was the founder of North American Tilapia Inc (1994-present) and has established this genetic line as one of the unique sources of pure line O.nilotica in the world. He is recognized as a world leader in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS).
Over the last 35 years he has designed, built and operated RAS for numerous species globally. Gary earned a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Guelph, Canada in 1980.

Steph received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta, and graduate degree from the University of Guelph.
She has worked in conventional and organic agriculture, indoors and out. Her experience also extends to product development for major international corporations.

Derek received his Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Industrial Design from the University of Alberta.
Has worked as a Design Manager in multiple fields ranging from consumer products to industrial fabricationto sustainable technologies.
Sophia received her Bachelor of Visual Communication Design from the University of Alberta and won a Central Canada RGD student award in 2016.
Since then she has focused on expanding her skill set by working in a variety of design fields such as branding, illustration and animation.

Jean F Kafer
Jean is a passionate Permaculturist, beginner beekeeper and urban farmer who has dedicated himself to Organic and sustainable food production for the past 6 years. Serving the public at various farmers' markets has allowed him to share his enthusiasm for urban ag and see the positive impact this work achieves in each community.
