Chief aquaculture officer
Gary was the founder of North American Tilapia Inc (1994-present) and has established this genetic line as one of the unique sources of pure line O.nilotica in the world. He is recognized as a world leader in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS).
Over the last 35 years he has designed, built and operated RAS for numerous species globally. Gary earned a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Guelph, Canada in 1980.

Steph received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta, and graduate degree from the University of Guelph.
She has worked in conventional and organic agriculture, indoors and out. Her experience also extends to product development for major international corporations.

Derek received his Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Industrial Design from the University of Alberta.
Has worked as a Design Manager in multiple fields ranging from consumer products to industrial fabricationto sustainable technologies.
Sophia received her Bachelor of Visual Communication Design from the University of Alberta and won a Central Canada RGD student award in 2016.
Since then she has focused on expanding her skill set by working in a variety of design fields such as branding, illustration and animation.

Mike’s successful business career in a variety of management roles has showcased his natural creativity, leadership and entrepreneurial abilities. He has a management background that includes construction, retail and
the service industry.
Geoff has a decade and a half of experience in aquatic science, and has worked with fifteen different fish species and several different invertebrates in research projects related to genetics, domestication, adaptation, breeding, and survival. He has built, designed, and maintained fish systems ranging from 50L to 1,000,000L.
Jose recently received his Bachelor of Science from Grant MacEwan University and was awarded a NSERC undergraduate research award in 2017.
He helps with daily farming operations as well as developing new technologies for NutraPonics.
Mitch graduated from Lakeland College in 2014 with a diploma in Environmental Conservation and Reclamation.
After spending much of his young career in Oil and Gas, Mitch joined NutraPonics to pursue his interest in aquaponics and sustainable food production. Mitch works in system development and helps with daily farming operations.
